Question of the Week: How could Jesus pray to the Father if they are both God? Verses: Matthew 28:19, Mark 1:9-11, Isaiah 48:16 The Trinity answers the question how God was able to love before we were created. He was able to have a relationship with Himself within Himself. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are a community able to enjoy one another’s company in unity with diversity. There is no other example of this kind of being in existence. That’s why He’s called God. He’s perfectly unique and self-sufficient. Therefore, when Jesus spoke to the Father while on Earth, it was conducting business as usual for the second member of the Trinity. He was constantly enjoying fellowship with the Father in the absolutely unique way that only God can within His own being. For more excerpts from A Reason For Hope, visit our page HERE.
