Karen’s experience with children came early in life. “OJT” is a great schoolmaster! She comes from a large family where she has eight sisters and brothers. Her parents wanted a dozen! Unfortunately because of a health condition Karen is unable to have children of her own. She has been so blessed over the years with the many children the Lord brought into her life. She started volunteering with the children at Calvary Tucson in 1986. When Pastor Scott Richards visited Calvary Tucson and said he was starting a fellowship on the Northwest side of Tucson, she was led by the Lord to fellowship at Calvary Christian Fellowship. Immediately, she was drawn by her passion for children to help. She was honored and blessed when she was asked to join the staff to do what she loved most and that is to help children. There is nothing better for her than to disciple children in the Word of God and watch them become excited about giving their hearts to Jesus and begin walking and growing in Him.
